In Celebration of Alice Moody

As we remember Alice we thought it was fitting we share a few pictures. Alice was a happy person who was always proud of her children and grandchildren. She would have been equally proud of her great-grandchildren who will not know her quick wit and fast smile.

Mom, we miss you every day!

This is the oldest picture we have of Alice, she was one year old.
Here is Alice at 12 years old with her hair in a braid. You can see the mischief in those black eyes.

Long's Grocery...Long Gone

At a loss for a posting this week we decided to put up a post of before and after photos of the grocery store. Early morning, arriving at the store. Mom and Sherry in the picture. Note the shadows of three people taking the picture.

This is what remains today. Many memories lost.

How about those Corvairs?

I was thinking about getting my Corvair out and taking a drive so I thought I might post a couple shots of our four generations of Corvair drivers.

Me, Sherry and Susie in the brand new Corvair June 1966, no white wall tires? What kind of sports car is that?

Stephanie wanted a Corvair as well so we got a great deal on this 1969 Corvair 500. It had a bench seat and a three speed, but she had the ONLY one in her school.

Here is the original Corvair nearly complete in front of our house in Benbrook, TX. It has brand new paint.

Here is generation four, Kayley and I sitting in the Driveway. I am sure she will want one someday.

Grandpa goes to Washington

We brought Dad up to spend a week with us in Virginia. It was the hottest day of the year, but we went to Washington and walked around a few of the monuments. The best part of the trip was getting Dad and his Sister together. They laughed and told stories about growing up in the depression and how they depended on each other. It was a very interesting week, but I think Dad was surprised by how far apart the monuments are. On TV they look real close together, but in reality they are far apart. I will start this blog with a couple pictures from that trip.

Dad and Sarah Jane

Dad on the Metro, looks just like another commuter with his free paper. You can tell it was a weekend, there was no one else on the train. You can guess how this would look on a weekday.

Here We Are!

OK, we give up. Here is our blog. We will probably not update as often as others, but we have some great pictures which we will share on a weekly basis. We are learning so expect some issues.
